Blessing in Disguise

Things happen in our life beyond our thinking. We think about one thing but the other happens.

Today my friends and I was recalling our old days that how the parents were particular to discipline their children.  They would have never tolerated any kind of nuisance from their children.  We had to come back to our house early and could never go anywhere without their knowledge. 

One of my friends was telling that one day his brother had to go with his friend for some important work but could not inform his parents well in time.  But he was quite terrified about not telling his whereabouts to them.  She told that when he came back, he fould that his father is very angry.  He hurridly hides himself in the bathroom.  His father went in the bathroom and wanted to punish him.  Her brother found that some expensive crockery was lying there. Perhaps mother had put it there to wash it separately so it could not be broken. When father came near to him to punish him, he instantly picked the expensive crockery in his hands to protect himself.  Father could not go near him so that the crockery might not be broken into pieces. The "Crockery became CAVACH" for him. Father laughed at his presence of mind.  He hugged him and was very happy on his prompt action.  So the crockery lying there proved Blessing in Disguise.

What About Life

What can we  say about  life? Do we think it is in our hands, it moves as we move it, it works as we plan or it is as smooth as we think about it.  But I think, life is beyond our thinking. Sometimes it works as we plan but sometimes  we fail to work as we plan. So how can we say we are the master of our life.  Then who is the master of our life and whose directions our life follows. Can we discover it? 

One day I started my journey towards my house from office and thought I would reach within an hour and it took me three hours to reach.  How could it happen? Who took my two hours. I was very anxious to reach home early. Due to some technical problem in the Metro Rail system I was held up in the midway towards my home. We will call it  'circumstances'.

From the above it is proved that I was in the hands of circumstances. We work as the circumstances allow us.  We can't change the circumstances. Nobody can dare to think of changing the circumstances.  We have only to bear it.  This is just an example that life has its own calculation, its own mathematics which is beyond our wisdom and whereas we thnik, we are the master of our own life.

Who creates the Circusmstances?

There is a Supreme Power who governs this universe whom we can say 'God'.  When the cirumstances are unfavourable, we pray Him to change them.  We continuously call Him. 'Oh God! please help'. And we think 'His' hands will come to protect us. Once a man asks God that in good time he looks foot prints behind him. It were 'Yours'.  I know you are always with me.  But in my bad time I see there were no foot prints.  Hence you have left me alone in my bad time. God tells him affectionately, 'Son! I am always with you. In your bad time you are in my lap. The foot prints are mine'  It is a universal truth that we are alway under someone's protection.  He is protecting us in some way or the other.  But it is our ignorance that we are surviving on our own. Because we think we are the master of our own life.

And how much we know about our life? We would say that I am such and such person, and doing this and that thnig. I like this and that thing but how much we actually know ourselves. We only look at our merits and do not look at demerits.  So how our life would be balanced.  How our ANTAHKARN   would be cleared so long as we do not think about our demerits.  How our conscious would be transparent.  How we could be honest to ourselves. When we are not honest to our own self we can't be honest to the society which gives us identification of a kind of human being.  How much we believe in the Supreme Power.  Do we think that we are the puppet of His hands.  We move as He will move us.  Likewise He creates the circumstances as we are the puppet of his hands.  We should concentrate on our duties only, whatever the result may be. Once in Geeta God had clearly declared "KARMANAYVADHIKARSTE MA FLASHU KDACHAN" .  And we think we are the master of our own life.

Do the best and keep the rest to the Supreme Power because it is God only who is the master of our life.
