One day I was watching a popular serial 'Shri Krishna', the popular episode of Shri Krishna and Sudama - Krishna's childhood friend. I felt it very touching. In that episode the way Krishna met his friend Sudama was very emotional. After listening the name of Sudama, His childhood friend, Krishna ran to see him. He literally ran and became impatient for meeting him. I could not even control my tears looking Krishna so impatient for his childhood friend.
I thought if a common man will also become so impatient on seeing his childhood friend. My query got the answer day before yesterday. On the way to my house I met a girl in metro rail. She was childhood friend of Pratibha, my niece. I recognized her and took initiative to talk to her. I asked her, "Are you Shobhna"? She said,"Yes I am Shobhna, but sorry! I don't recognize you". I asked, "Do you remember Pratibha"? "Yes, how can I forget her. She is my childhood friend ", she replied. "She is my niece," I told her. Then she said,"Now I recognize you also". She became happy to see me. She took Pratibha's mobile no. After a long discussion, she went away as she had to drop at the next station. I kept remembering the moments, I spent with with Pratibha's friends, years ago. They always took me as their friend. I dropped at the next station and went my home.
Next day it was Saturday, my holiday. I was busy with my household work. Suddenly I got a call. It was Pratibha. I found that so many bells were ringing in her voice. She was very happy. She said, "You have done a great job. You met my friend Shobhna and gave my number. She had called me and I had a long conversation with her. I have collected mobile numbers of my all other friends. Now I can talk to them anytime. From the last many years I have not talked to any of my friends and I was literally impatient to talk and see them. Thanks a lot".
I thought had I really done a great job, which made Pratibha so happy. I recalled Krishna-Sudama's childhood friendship and recalled the old Hindi song "A KASH KAHIN MIL JAYE KOI TO MEET PURANA BACHPAN KA". Again I couldn't control my tears. I felt that really one can't forget his childhood friendship.
